In the event we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under age 13, we will terminate the account and delete the information. Minors should not use our Website or post any information or other content without adult supervision.
We use Customer Data to interact with you, register you as a customer, collect payment information from you, provide the Service to you, operate, support, monitor and improve the Service, and analyze and collect information on security incidents.
We also use Customer Data to provide you with relevant information about Barkly and the Service. For example, we may use information you provide to contact you to further discuss your interest in the Service and to send you information regarding Barkly, its affiliates, and its partners, such as information about promotions or events.
When you purchase the Service, you will likely supply credit card information to us and we consider such information to be Customer Data. Any credit card information that is provided to us is used solely to check the financial qualifications and collect payment from prospective and actual customers. We strive to adhere to PCI data security standards, including using fully PCI compliant credit card processors.
We use commonly used information-gathering tools, such as cookies and Web beacons, to collect information as you navigate our Websites (“Web Site Navigational Information”). This section sets out the type of navigational information used on our websites and how this information may be used.
We may use Web beacons alone or in conjunction with cookies to compile information about customers’ and visitors’ usage of our Websites and interaction with our emails. Web beacons are clear electronic images that can recognize certain types of information on your computer, such as cookies, when you viewed a particular website tied to the Web beacon, and a description of a website tied to the Web beacon. For example, we may place Web beacons in marketing emails that notify us when you click on a link in the email that directs you to one of our Websites. Web beacons are utilized to operate and improve our Websites and email communications.
When you visit our Websites, we collect your Internet Protocol (“IP”) addresses to track and aggregate non-personal information. For example, we may uses IP addresses to monitor the regions from which you navigate the Websites.
We may provide bulletin boards, blogs, or chat rooms on our Websites. Any personal information you choose to submit in such a forum may be read, collected, or used by others who visit these forums, and may be used to send you unsolicited messages. We are not responsible for the personal information you choose to submit in these forums.
You may also elect to use our referral program to inform colleagues about us. When using the referral program, we request the colleague’s name and email address. We will automatically send the person a one-time email inviting him or her to visit us, but we do not store this information.
As stated in our Terms of Service, we may use the names of corporate customers in a list of our customers and on our website and, where permitted, testimonials, on our Websites that contain information such as your name and title. Please send us an email at email@example.com if you want to opt out. We do obtain consent prior to posting any testimonials.
We may share Customer Data with our contracted service providers so that these service providers can provide services on our behalf.
From time to time, we may partner with other companies to jointly offer products or services. If you purchase or specifically express interest in a jointly-offered product or service, we may share Customer Data collected in connection with your purchase or expression of interest with our joint promotion partner(s). However, we do not control our business partners’ use of Customer Data, and their use of the information will be in accordance with their own privacy policies. If you do not wish for your information to be shared in this manner, do not purchase or specifically express interest in a jointly offered product or service.
Barkly uses a third-party service provider to manage credit card and payment processing. This service provider is not permitted to store, retain, or use billing information except for the sole purpose of credit card and payment processing on our behalf. The service provider is PCI compliant.
As indicated in our Terms of Service, you acknowledge and agree that we can use Customer Data collected from you for any lawful purpose, including transferring, assigning, licensing or selling such data to third parties, provided such data is in an aggregated and anonymized format. Aggregated data does not include any information that could be used to identify you and does not include your personal or contact information.
We may use or disclose Customer Data if required by law or if we reasonably believe that use or disclosure is necessary to protect our rights and/or to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process.
You may manage your receipt of marketing and non-transactional communications by clicking on the “unsubscribe” link located on the bottom of our marketing emails. Additionally, you can unsubscribe here.
You may update or change your registration information by editing your user or organization record at any time. To update a user profile, please login to your Barkly Portal with your username and password and navigate to the Settings page.
